Privacy statement

Last updated: July 2026

In short

  • I only ask for data that's needed to help you.
  • I never sell or share your data for advertising.
  • This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. That's why you don't see a cookie banner.
  • You can always ask what data I have about you, and ask me to correct or delete it.

Who am I?

RitsIT, Herent, Leuven and surrounding villages. You can reach me on 0470 00 00 00 or [email protected]. I am the data controller for the data on this site.

What data do I collect, and why?

Contact form: your name, phone number, optionally your email address and your message. I need those to call or email you back and help you. Legal basis: steps needed to enter into an agreement.

Repairs: your name, contact details and information about your device, plus a tracking code you can use to follow the status. Legal basis: performance of the agreement.

Newsletter: only your email address, and only if you confirm your subscription yourself via the email you receive (double opt-in). Legal basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe anytime with one click at the bottom of every email.

Emails: confirmations and status updates are sent via Resend (Resend Inc.), an email service. Your email address passes through their servers solely to deliver the email.

What I don't do

  • No advertising cookies or tracking of your browsing.
  • No selling or sharing data with third parties for marketing.
  • No profiling or automated decisions.

Data on your device itself

When I repair your PC, laptop or console, I stay out of your files, unless it's needed for the repair and we agree on it beforehand (for example a data transfer). If you want a device made ready to sell, I wipe it securely and permanently.

How long do I keep your data?

Requests and repair data are kept as long as needed for the job and legal obligations (such as invoicing), then deleted. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can always ask to see, correct, delete or transfer your data, and you can object to its use. One email to [email protected] or a phone call is enough. Not happy with how I handle it? You can contact the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
